The warning from my boss

“Fine next time I will here on time, please forgive me” I say feeling so nervous I can feel the sweat trickling down my head.

“You better Tom, or I will have to demote you, or worse, fire you.” My boss explained.

“Yes, sir” I say and walk out of his office.

I look at my watch, it read 11:40 AM. I knew this couldn’t do this again.

“Tom, where were you? And why are you so late?” My friend asks me.

I explain what had happened. “Oh, now I get it” I look at my watch,

“12:00 PM, my lunch break”

The Man

I backed up the vehicle slowly, turned off the music and climbed the small, rocky mountain… but when I got to the top I couldn’t believe it. It was a furry bear!

“I’ve been in worse situations.” I think to myself.

I look around, knowing I have seconds left. The bear starts roaring. The bear comes closer and closer and closer.

I notice there is a cave. So I run to it.

It leads up to the top.

A man runs to me with a gun, “who are you!” He yells “answer me” bang!

I wake up… am I dead?

The Cement Statue

“Mum, what is that cement statue for?” I ask.

“I don’t know” replied Mum “it’s probably some war memorial thing.”

“Oh, okay.” I said suspiciously

I forget about the statue and continue walking on the stone path. But I can’t help thinking that something is bothering me, so I look back at the statue. But the statue isn’t there.

“Mum! The cement statue! It isn’t there!” I yell.

“Oh, don’t be silly Tom! The statue is right over th-” Says Mum feeling shocked. “Where did it go?”

I blink. The statue appears again. I blink again. The statue is gone…

The way to the shops

VROOM!

“I have to get to the shops before the close!” I said full of stress. “Oh hurry up! What is taking so long?!”

I look out my window and it was a whole line of traffic because the road was under construction. And the builder is even paying attention!

I look around. I quickly take a left turn into another road. Left, right, right, right, left, right, left, left.

I was officially lost.

“Which way to the shops??” I panted. VROOM VROOOOOM!

“Oh man! Not more traffic!” I complain. Luckily, this guy was paying attention. He’s holding a slow-down sign. But I didn’t notice. VROOOOM! CRASH!

The Cursed Tower – Chapter 2

The Cursed Tower

Chapter 2

The Ship

“Alright men! Get ready! The ship is moving out soon!” Yells the chief. “Load the gunpowder!”

I walk out onto the deck. The ship is made out of brown, polished wood and huge black sails.

“Aaah! You must be the volunteer!” The chief says to me.

“Yes, that’s me.” I say, trying hide my nervousness.

“What’s your name son?” Asks the chief

“T-Tom, s-s-sir.”

“Okay, Tom. The ship is moving out soon. Better get ready now.” The chief reminds me.

The chief has a big black and white sailor’s hat, with four gold teeth, bushy brown hair and rumpled up clothes

I look into the distance and see a weird looking creature that looks like a wombat that is flying. I think to my self, “I didn’t realise they could fly!…”

The Cursed Tower

Chapter 1

The Deal

“Recently, there have been rumours that that tower out on that island is the most cursed place in the world.” A mysterious voice said. “A monster lives in that tower…”

“Have people gone to investigate?” I ask.

“Oh yeah people have. But anyone who steps foot on that island, they are marked for death.” The man says. “Some musketeers have volunteered to investigate. Unless you would like to come?”

“Consider it an honour.” I reply. “Will there be a reward if we kill this beast?”

“Yes. Glory, fame and lots of gold.”

“Deal”

“Good, we start tomorrow”

The Mystery Of New York City

“Alright Stevenson 25 dollars a day.” Said the Sergeant “these statues need to be stopped.”

“Agreed.” Said the detective. “I will solve the mystery of New York City.”

I walk out of the Police Department and into my car. I kept driving until I stopped at a mysterious building called Winter Quay. I notice that there is a statue outside. I looks like a Weeping Angel.

I walk inside Winter Quay and go up the lift. I find a room that has my name on it. I walk inside but there’s nothing there. I run outside the room. There are now two Weeping Angels. Then there is a flash of light, then, darkness…

The place with the big, red mushroom

There once was a man who longed to have an adventure. He went into his room and on his desk lay a bright postcard from his grandad Mel. Next to the post card was a picture of his wrinkled up grandad with a wistful smile. On the postcard there was writing that said, “Come, it is wondrous. I wished I ruled this place.”

Quickly, the man packed his luggage and walked to his boat. He didn’t forget to put an oar in his rowboat that he needed.

After about an hour, he saw the island in the distance with a huge, red mushroom. It was the biggest mushroom in the world. The sight was absolutely beautiful…

The Invasion

Monsters left and right entered the room. My only exit was to go up the stairs. Red monsters with sharp teeth and red tentacles started following me up the stairs, only some tripping and falling down the stairs.

I run into an old room, I lock the door and barricade it with chairs, a table and shelves. Every time a monster bangs on the door I get even more scared. I open the window, looking for an exit. The fences are to high to climb, monsters walking outside. I found a pipe on the side of the house and I slide down into the kitchen.

I don’t know how I’m going to escape. I think I’m dead.

The Creepy House

I was walking down the street yesterday looking at all the bright houses until I spotted this dark creepy house. I knew the owner was up to no good.

I got out my telescope out ready to investigate until Mum shouted, “Dinner!”

I couldn’t let Mum see what I was doing. But what would happen when I go to school and my mum was cleaning my room? She would definitely find out.

I went up to the house took a deep breath and knocked. “Hello anybody home?”

“Hi what would you like?” Asked the man.

“I just want to ask you about the rest of your old fence.”

“What old fence?” Said the man.
